The TH 47 Transportation Analysis will begin with an evaluation of the existing and future conditions to determine the transportation issues and needs within the study area. The evaluation will determine how the roadway is operating today and how it will operate in the future. Concerns identified by the public and other stakeholders will also be considered.
After identifying the issues and needs in the study area, the consultant and the PMT will use the information to develop alternatives that will address those needs. Each alternative will be assessed to determine any constraints or resources that will be affected. Evaluation criteria will be developed as a means to compare alternatives. All alternatives will be presented at a public meeting in April 2007. Using comments from the public and the evaluation criteria, a preferred alternative will be selected.
A staff approved layout will be developed for the preferred alternative. A review will follow to assess environmental impacts including but not limited to wetlands, contaminated sites, and historical sites. Official mapping will of the preferred alternative will complete the study.
